Novi Man Charged In Multiple GPS Thefts

NOVI (WWJ) – Police have arrested a Novi man in connection with a night of crime, during which he broke into nine vehicles and stole eight GPS units.

According to police, 25 year-old Azor Horton broke out the windows of the vehicles in the Nine Mile/Haggerty Road area the night of September 3. A search of Horton’s home revealed one of the stolen GPS units, plus blood stains that matched those found at the scene of some of the break-ins.

He has been charged with breaking and entering and larceny from a vehicle.

“This arrest is a true testament to the Novi Police Department’s vision statement – Partners with our Community,” said Novi Police Chief David Molloy, in a statment.  “It takes the efforts of all to keep a community safe.  And, with the relentless follow-up and commitment of our investigators, incidents such as
these are charged and cleared.”

Horton is jailed on $5,000 bond.
