Detroit Toy Stories
I love the Detroit Historical Museum. I love the look. The smell. The exhibits. The memories. The souvenir shop. Everything. When I go there, I feel like I'm going home.
Starting this weekend, the museum is taking the wraps off a new exhibit called "Detroit Toy Stories." It's full of all the stuff kids around here have been playing with for years. Everything from those antique wind-up mechanical toys to Star Wars figures.
Ok, I admit it. The Barbie Dolls are my favorites at this exhibit. But I was also intrigued by the Denny McLain magnetic baseball game, and the Ballistic Missile. (The box says "completely safe.")
I think you AND YOUR KIDS will love seeing this stuff.
Best of all, admission is FREE this weekend at the Detroit Historical Museum.
Have fun.
I snapped some pictures of the exhibit as it was being assembled. If you'd like to check 'em out, click on http://cbsloc.al/pKSm0e.
