2 Teens Shot During Neighborhood Dispute

DETROIT (WWJ) - An ongoing neighborhood dispute in Detroit takes a violent turn when a 13-year-old boy grabbed a gun and started shooting, police said.

Investigators said it wasn't adults who got into the argument, but teenagers from two families. It happened around 6 p.m. Sunday near Davison and Montrose on the city's west side.

According to Detroit Police, after the argument heated up, the 13-year-old went in his house and then returned with a gun. He began firing, hitting two teens.

The victims: a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl. The 14-year-old was last listed as being in serious condition and the 13-year-old was last listed as being in stable condition.

The 13-year-old suspect has been taken into police custody. There's no word yet as to what he's being charged with.

His identity and the identities of the victims have not been released.

Police have not said what the teens were arguing about.
