Detroit Tigers Roster Report 9-26-11

MEDICAL WATCH:

--1B Miguel Cabrera (dizziness) experienced a few moments of dizziness while batting in the seventh inning Sept. 25. Cabrera was taken out of the game as a precaution.

--2B Carlos Guillen (sore right calf) left the Sept. 18 game, and he didn't play Sept. 20-25. It's uncertain if he'll be able to return in the regular season. If he doesn't, he probably won't be on the roster for the AL Division Series.

--3B Wilson Betemit (bruised left knee) was hurt Sept. 16, and he didn't play Sept. 17-25. He is day-to-day, but expects to return to action Sept. 26..

--RF Brennan Boesch (sore right thumb) left the Aug. 24 game, and he did not play Aug. 25-30. He appeared Aug. 31 as a pinch runner but did not play Sept. 1-5. Boesch had season-ending surgery Sept. 6 to repair a torn ligament, and he went on the 15-day disabled list Sept. 9.

--LHP Brad Thomas (sore left elbow) went on the 60-day disabled list July 25.

--RHP Joel Zumaya (right elbow surgery in July 2010) experienced pain in the elbow during his Feb. 27 spring debut, and he went on the 15-day disabled list March 30. He was transferred to the 60-day DL on April 18. He had exploratory surgery May 10, and he might be out for the season.
