Khang's Blog: Haters Turned Lovers...
So the Detroit Tigers bandwagon is completely full and overflowing. It includes all the haters who said all year long and even after the trade deadline acquisitions that this team was average at best and are only in 1st place because of how weak the division is. In fact they went as far as to say the winner of the division shouldn't even be allowed to make the playoffs. Giving Dombrowski and Leyland extensions were stupid and didn't like the timing of it. Did they ever think maybe the contract extensions gave them confidence and helped motivate them to push this team over the top? The funny thing about all the haters turned lovers is that they are over the top Tigers supporters now. Now they think the Tigers can't lose. That they will take down the evil empire that is the Yankees roll thru the ALCS and then beat who ever is unlucky enough to face them in the World Series! I'm not saying the Tigers didn't deserve criticism but the criticism they got for being a 1st place team was ridiculous and a lot of times uncalled for. In no way did the Tigers ever need to apologize for leading or winning their division...but maybe it is time for some people to start apologizing to the Tigers.
