Yankees 10, Tigers 1

DETROIT (WWJ) - Victor Martinez provided the only run in the Detroit Tigers 10-1 loss to the N. Y. Yankees in Game 4 of the ALDS on Tuesday night.

As heard on 97.1 The Ticket - Martinez hit a solo shot in the fourth inning to right field off of starter A.J. Burnett who lasted just over five innings for the Yankees.

Rick Porcello went six inning for the Tigers and kept them within striking distance - down by three runs when he threw his last pitch.

The win for New York ties the best of five AL division series at two apiece.

A dismal eighth inning sealed the Tigers fate for the evening - as the Yankees scored six runs - in an inning that would not seem to end.

The Tigers head back to New York for the deciding game in the series on Thursday at Yankee Stadium.

The winner of this series will move on and play the Texas Rangers next.
