DRMM Provides New Transitional Housing For Homeless Veterans

HIGHLAND PARK (WWJ) - The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries will open 60 new, fully furnished units to homeless veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan on Friday, Oct. 7 with a grand opening ceremony beginning at 3:00 p.m. at 211 Glendale in Highland Park.

Veterans will be provided with physical, mental and spiritual services geared toward helping them to reintegrate successfully into the community and become viable citizens.

The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries is a private, non-profit organization serving the residents of the greater Detroit Metropolitan area which includes the homeless, the hungry, chemically addicted, and mentally ill. DRMM provides shelter, supportive services, case management, and substance abuse treatment for men, women and children each year.
