DETROIT (WWJ) – Sun, sun and more sun is in the forecast. It’s good news for those who’ve been enjoying this seemingly extended summer in Metro Detroit.
WWJ AccuWeather Meteorologist Dr. Joe Sobel says the nice weather we’ve been having is going to continue through the weekend and even into next week.
Sobel said it doesn’t look like there’s much that could go wrong weather-wise all weekend, other than some late night and early morning fog and haze that should burn out by 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the latest each day.
“You would think this is Indian Summer, but it’s not,” said WWJ-TV Chief Meteorologist Jim Madaus. “You have to have several freezing nights in a row followed by weather like this to call it Indian Summer.”
No rain at all is expected at least until next Tuesday or Wednesday, when Madaus says Southeast Michigan can expect slightly cooler temperatures, too.
