Lions Monday Night Football Has Faithful Lined Up For Game

DETROIT (WWJ)- The Lions have a Monday Night Football contest against the Chicago Bears.  And as WWJ's Terri Lee reports that one longtime Lions season ticket holder has nothing but faith in the Honolulu blue and silver.

Longtime Lions fan Reverend Horace Sheffield III, pastor of New Destiny Baptist Church in Detroit, will be at Ford Field Monday night, watching the Lions take on the Bears.

"We prayed last year and they lost that game, but we had prayer and people laughed and said, 'ha -ha -ha', but you know I"ve always said that prayer answered delayed is not one denied, so we are just asking the good Lord to honor that prayer," said Rev. Sheffield.

The Lions are currently 4-0 ... after ending the season last year on a high note.

Their season seemed to turn around after Sheffield and his prayer warriors prayed for some heavenly intervention.  He believes the Lions can go all the way to the Super Bowl.

"Detroit had just been so bad, for so long, it was just getting worse and worse every season.  So, we thank the good Lord, I'll be praying for them ... I'm looking for them to go all the way," said Sheffield.

"Gooooooo Lions!" said Rev. Sheffield.
