UM Moves Up 1 Spot To No. 11, MSU Enters AP Top 25

EAST LANSING (AP) – Two Associated Press Top 25 football teams will take the field Saturday when Michigan State plays Michigan at Spartan Stadium.

Michigan State moves into the poll Sunday at No. 23 after a bye weekend. The Spartans are 4-1 on the season.

Michigan rises one spot to No. 11 in this week’s poll after beating Northwestern 42-24 on Saturday. It was the season’s first road game and the Big Ten opener for the Wolverines (6-0).

Michigan is the highest ranked team to move in this week’s poll, with no changes in the Top 10. LSU remains at No. 1.

Among Big Ten teams, Wisconsin (5-0) remains No. 4, while Illinois (6-0) moves up two spots to No. 16.
