Kid Rock Is On The Jim Schwartz Bandwagon

DETROIT (WWJ) - Count Kid Rock among those on the Jim Schwartz bandwagon. The singer was hanging out in the locker room after the Lions 24-13 Monday Night Football win over the Bears.

"I like the coach, number one," Kid Rock told 97.1 The Ticket's Jeff Riger. "Schwartz came out; we started hanging out and he said, 'You know what Bobby, I really believe in this city, in this team, which I took city more important than team in my heart.' And he said, 'I want my kids ... to say they're from Detroit and they go to school in Detroit and they root for Detroit.'

"And, I was like, wow. Is this guy (expletive) me? You know, is he just looking for a free turkey dinner at Kid Rock's house? But, he wasn't."

Kid Rock also says he'll be a Detroiter until the day he dies.

"You ever been tempted with all the great places you go to - not turn your back, but maybe go elsewhere to live - L.A., Nashville - live elsewhere," Riger asked.

(Expletive) no ... I'm sorry," Rock answered laughing. "In one word, no. In two words, (beep) no."

The Lions are 5-0 for the first time since 1956--the year before they won their last NFL championship.
