President Obama To Visit Detroit Area With South Korean President
LAKE ORION (WWJ) - President Barack Obama and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak will visit GM's Lake Orion Assembly Plant on Friday to tout the U.S.-South Korea Free Trade Agreement.
The White House says the trip highlights business connections between the two countries; GM owns Daewoo -- a South Korean subsidiary it renamed GM Korea.
The visit will come a day after the South Korean president makes a state visit to Washington. Congress may approve the trade deal as early as this week that Obama Administration says will open up economic opportunities and support jobs on both sides of the Pacific.
