VIDEO: Fall Color Tour Aboard A Beautiful Balloon

MILFORD (WWJ) - You can only see so much of this season's fall colors from the ground, so we sent WWJ's Kathryn Larson up in a hot air balloon to be our eye in sky.

Watch Kathryn on a Milford to Highland balloon trip:

"It never gets boring. I've been doing this since 1981, flying Michigan fall colors. It's really the most beautiful place," said the pilot, Westwind Balloon Company President Scott Lorenz.

Once you're up, Larson reports you only travel about 8 miles per hour, but that's the perfect speed to enjoy the fall foliage.

"It's so much better from above, because you have perspective and you don't get that from driving down the road," Lorenz said.
