Vote On 2nd Bridge Not Likely This Week
LANSING (WWJ/AP) - It's looking less likely that a committee in the Republican-led Michigan Senate will vote this week on legislation that would allow a public-private partnership to build a second bridge connecting Detroit and Windsor.
The Senate Economic Development Committee continued to take testimony on the proposed bridge project Tuesday.
The proposed bridge would be built near the Ambassador Bridge, whose private owners oppose the project.
They want to build their own second span.
