A Decade Since “Spartan Bob” Clock Game Between UM – MSU

DETROIT (WWJ) – With the incredible run the Tigers, Lions and Red Wings are on the past few weeks … rivalry week has almost been overlooked!

Saturday, Michigan and Michigan State meet again on the gridiron … in East Lansing.

This year’s game comes on the 10th anniversary of the infamous “Spartan Bob” clock game, when MSU score a controversial last second touchdown to win the game.

Matt April of Northville remembers that moment well.

“I was dating a girl from MSU at the time …and I got a Christmas card that year that said, “Just taking a second to wish you a Merry Christmas,” said April.

Kickoff Saturday afternoon is noon … the pre-game show starts at 10 a.m. right here on WWJ.
