LIVONIA (WWJ) - A major traffic back-up in Livonia Friday evening as a semi-truck runs into an overpass.

The rush hour commute was coming to a close as a semi-truck hit the overpass at Farmington Road. The resulting accident closing the eastbound lanes of I-96 at Newburgh Road in Livonia.

Traffic is backing up to I-275 in the north and south bound directions.
