U-M President Coleman Elected Association Of American Universities Chair

ANN ARBOR  (AP) - University of Michigan President Mary Sue Coleman has been elected Association of American Universities chair.

   AnnArbor.com reports  that her one-year term started Tuesday.

Coleman will serve as spokeswoman for the association of 59 private and public universities in the United States and two in Canada.

She also will represent the nonprofit in meetings with national policymakers, while helping develop national policy positions.

The association was founded in 1900.
