Actually, Michigan came into the game with a 9-1 record, and the top unnarked vote-getter (i.e. #26) in both polls. EMU’s team is very good this year. Also, early in the game, senior Tavelyn James became EMU’s all-time leading scorer (women’s AND men’s basketball), breaking a 29-year-old record.
