The Lions’ season didn’t end Sunday with a 23-16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

They aren’t “the same old Lions,” although there will be cries throughout this week suggesting so from fans and media alike.

At 5-2, it’s all still very much on the table for the Lions to grab. A shot at their first postseason berth since 1999. The best season they have had since Barry Sanders was in the backfield. The tangible step forward this town is eagerly anticipating.
