Illitch On Ficano: "I Definitely Think It Is Poor Judgement"

DETROIT (WWJ) - The severance pay scandal came to a head Monday with the firing of Detroit Metropolitan Airport CEO Turkia Mullin.

Mullin was under fire for a $200,000 severance she received after voluntarily leaving her Wayne County post to run Metro Airport.  Last week -- Mullin repaid the money. But the FBI continues to look into the deal.

How is this affecting the leadership of Executive Robert Ficano?  Businesswoman Denise Illitch spoke to that question on Michigan Matters with Carol Cain.

"I've known Bob a long time, and I will be very surprised if there is something that he has done that is illegal, I definitely think it is poor judgement, they should never have called it a severance, I mean, that's just not done," Illitch said.

Illitch, was a guest on this weekend's Michigan Matters.

You can watch the program each Sunday morning at 11 a.m. on WWJ-TV, CBS Detroit.
