Livio's Car Internet Radio Kit Now At Radio Shack

FERNDALE -- Livio Radio announced Tuesday that their car Internet radio system, the Kit, will be available in 4,400 Radio Shack locations just in time for the holidays.

The Kit  allows customers to upgrade their radios without upgrading their cars and offers Bluetooth hands-free calling, USB charging, and buttons to safely control the Livio Car Internet Radio application, with no monthly fees.

"The Kit is changing the way people use their Apple iPhone or iPod Touch devices in their cars," Livio Radio founder and CEO Jake Sigal said.  "We know car Internet radio and RadioShack knows consumer electronics, together we are going to make car audio better and safer for drivers."

RadioShack will offer the Kit in a new section featuring a wide range of app-powered devices for a wide range of uses.

"As Apple's App Store expands by the day, we are seeing more devices like Livio's Bluetooth Car Internet Radio Kit that practically extend the usefulness of those apps in our daily lives," said Allen McClard, merchandising vice president for mobility at RadioShack. "We're pleased to feature these app-driven devices for everyday activities like driving, cooking, playing and more."

Founded in 2008, Ferndale-based Livio Radio has already developed a list of successful Internet radio products through ongoing relationships with Pandora and NPR. The company remains committed to providing sleek and sophisticated radios and accessories for users who want quality without gimmicks, hassles, and unnecessary bells and whistles.
