Minnesota Beats Wings 2-1 In OT

DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit Red Wings stunned by the Minnesota Wild losing in OT 2-1 on Tuesday night.

As heard on 97.1 The Ticket -  Nicklas Lidstrom got the Wings (5-5-0) on the board first and the Wings were a minute away from wrapping up their first victory in five games but it was not to be as the Wilds' Mikko Koivu tied the game up just before the end of regulation play and sent play into overtime.

Devin Setoguchi scored on a power-goal at 1:33 in overtime to give the Minnesota Wild (5-3-3) the win.

"It was a tough night and we have to take responsibility," said Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock, speaking on 97.1 The Ticket postgame. "We're not helping ourselves right now, we started strong tonight, but bottom line, we're not winning ... you gotta' play 60 minutes."

Goalie Jimmy Howard had 25 saves in the game and held off the Wild during a 5 on 3 power-play during the loss - the fifth straight for the Red Wings.

"Just one of those things were when they come they come in bunches," said Howard about the loss.

The Wilds' Josh Harding stopped 36 shots.
