DETROIT (WWJ) – It was a wild ride for about twenty school students on the bus ride home Tuesday afternoon,  when their school bus went off the road, and then rolled down an embankment, and came to rest on its side.

The accident happened on East Commerce Road near Duck Lake Road, in Milford Township, as the students were going home from Oak Valley Middle School.

Milford Police say one student was taken to Huron Valley Sinai Hospital with minor injuries.

Police say two other vehicles were involved in the accident. The bus driver was given a ticket for failing to use due care and caution.

Police say they don’t believe alcohol was involved in the accident.
