WINTER STORM AFTERMATH: SNOWFALL TOTALS | TRAFFICRADAR | FLIGHT TRACKERSCHOOL CLOSINGS
By Ron Dewey

DETROIT (WWJ) – The first-ever price increase for Detroit’s People Mover goes into effect today.

As WWJ Newsradio 950’s Ron Dewey reports, be sure to carry an extra quarter if the People Mover is part of your travels. The fare is going up from 50 cents to 75 cents per ride. It’s the first increase for the overhead tram since 1987. The city says this increase is necessary to cover increased operating costs.

The cost of monthly and annual passes will stay the same.
