"My Ford Touch" Getting An Overhaul
DEARBORN (WWJ) - A controversial system that caused Ford's quality ratings to fall is getting an overhaul.
"My Ford Touch," the system that Consumer Reports said was too complex, will be simpler to operate and easier to read, says Ford President of the Americas Mark Fields. He says connectivity systems like this are very popular but they're still learning how customers interact with them.
"We've gotten feedback and we've ... as we've said, we're acting more and more like a, at the clock speed of a software company," Fields said.
Since this is a software update, owners of vehicles that already have models with "My Ford Touch" will be able to upgrade their systems early next year.
