Detroit City Council Voting On Street Light Fix
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit City Council is set to vote Tuesday on a $750,000 fix for some city street lights.
The city is hoping to contract with DTE Energy to fix 3,000 lights -- and possibly as many as 5,000. Many of the repairs will be in neighborhoods that have few--if any--working street lights. But city council president pro-tem Gary Brown is among those who wants to see Detroit's lighting department taken over by DTE.
