The chaos continues at Penn State as Nittany Lion officials decide to cancel Joe Paterno’s weekly news conference at 12:20. In a statement, the school basically said that due to the ongoing legal circumstances centered around the recent allegations and charges, there won’t be any comments from Paterno. Neither on a podium nor on the Big Ten teleconference.
Penn State is scheduled to host Nebraska, Saturday at noon and now the NY Times is reporting that Penn State is planning Joe Pa’s exit from the school. Paterno is 84 and on the last year of his contract. One of his former players, ex-Lions GM Matt Millen actually broke down and cried today on ESPN saying, “It’s pretty disturbing” and “It makes you sick.”
Lions Lineup Changes
ESPN reports that Jahvid best is not expected to play Sunday against the bears. As he will undergo more tests and meet with doctors to follow up after suffering a concussion a few weeks ago. Lions coach Jim Schwartz joined Karsch and Anderson early Tuesday on The Ticket. He was asked about signing Kevin Smith and bringing him back. Schwartz also says that the team added guard Leonard Davis since they’ve been short an offensive lineman for the last month and a half.
Suh Dirtiest Player?
The sporting news has polled over 100 NFL players. They say the Lions’ Ndamukong Suh is the dirtiest player in the league — receiving 36 votes. James Harrison comes in second with 9 votes.
