"Flash Mob" Looking For Participants Before Detroit Lions Game

DETROIT (WWJ) - If you've never taken part in a flash mob, your chance is coming.

Just before the Detroit Lions' November 20 home game against Carolina, Sola Obayan of Farmington Hills is putting together the impromptu dance scene to honor Detroit's pro sports teams.

"We're going to have 50 people, trained dancers to lead the flash mob. So, everyone who comes at 11:30, those are the key people that are going to be watching and following. It's a very simple two-and-a-half minute dance," said Obayan.

It'll be at Eastern Market, but the exact location isn't being revealed just yet.  Obayan is hoping that several hundred people will participate.

"As soon as the music starts, there's a little bit of lead time, a little bit of instrumental, so they have about 10 or 15 seconds to all get in place and begin the dance," said Obayan.

If you'd like to take part in the flash mob, email pinknblue2482@yahoo.com to receive details and join the mailing list.
