Lions Will Sell 1,500 'Standing Room Only' Tickets For Thanksgiving Day Game

DETROIT (WWJ) - Fifteen-hundred more Lions fans can start Thanksgiving dinner late as the Detroit Lions announce the sale of Standing Room only tickets for the 72nd Thanksgiving Day game against the Green Bay Packers.

The 1,500 Standing Room only tickets go on sale Wednesday, November 16 at 10 a.m.

The ticket offer comes a day after the Detroit Lions took a bashing from the Chicago Bears in the Windy City.

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz says their loss against Chicago Bears is not solely the team's fault.

WWJ's Rhonda Moss reports that Lions quarterback Stafford had four interceptions - two resulted in touchdowns for the Bears.

Stafford was playing with a fractured index finger but Schwartz says that mother nature was a factor in Stafford's play.

"I think the issue in this game was the wind,  more than anything else was the wind -- number one -- to throw 63 passes in a game was highly unusual - you're not doing it just because you are behind you have to do it in the wind and in an adverse situation - had a lot more effect on the ball than his finger or anything else," said Schwartz.
