Michigan-based Company Undergoes Facelift to Generate New Energy

NOVI -- The solar energy company SRI Energy has changed its name to Srinergy and launched a redesigned Web site at www.Srinergy.com to unveil its new name and logo.

"When I launched the company, we were very much focused on design, engineering and installation of solar energy systems for our residential and commercial clients," said Prasad Gullapalli, president and founder of Srinergy. "This hasn't changed. However, with several installations completed and new ones underway, our new company name, logo and website help us to more readily showcase who we are and what we do."

It was important for Gullapalli that the first three letters of the company's name remain unchanged. "SRI" stands for "socially responsible individual," emphasizing the company's offering of green energy systems to individuals and organizations that are socially responsible.

Along with providing customized solar energy systems for commercial and residential installations, Srinergy offers pre-designed "solar kits" that are designed to meet average energy consumption needs for different customers.

"These kits fill a need for 'do it-yourself' homeowners and others who know their energy consumption usage and are ready to go 'green' quickly," Gullapalli said.

Srinergy also provides solar thermal systems for hot water tanks to help lower utility bills and reduce energy consumption.

Srinergy finances many of its own projects, including the ability to finance projects through GE Capital with 0 percent down payment required. Along with servicing a wide variety of clients including non-profit organizations, the company works with local trade associations, municipalities, building and development authorities, and neighborhood associations.
