SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - A fiery crash closed the Lodge Freeway in Southfield for several hours Saturday morning.

WWJ’s Beth Fisher reported live from the scene, where she could see a mini van in the left southbound lane of M-10 near Evergreen and a burnt out car.

Police diverted traffic off the freeway while they performed a crash scene investigation. Officers said the accident happened shortly after 3:30 a.m., but revealed very little details about the crash.

At this time it is not clear if there were any injuries. The freeway has since opened.
