SOUTHFIELD — Comcast and the BBC Friday announced the addition of BBC World News, the BBC’s award-winning international 24-hour news channel, to its Digital Preferred package on channel 387. The network is launching today across Comcast’s entire footprint in Michigan, including Detroit.

BBC World News broadcasts in over 200 markets and has access to more than 70 international newsgathering bureaus globally. Broadcast 24-hours a day, the channel brings U.S. audiences news, documentaries, lifestyle programs and interviews plus the award-winning daily newcast, BBC World News America, anchored by Katty Kay.
