Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway For Detroit Residents

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit-headquartered Inland Waters Pollution Control will host its "Third Annual Free Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway" on Tuesday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., until supplies last.

In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, IWPC will host the event at its headquarters, located at 4086 Michigan Avenue and Clark Street in Detroit.

The event is open to Detroit residents 18 years or older. The company will donate 750 turkeys, one to each individual able to present valid proof of Detroit residency.

Last year, all 750 turkeys were donated to attendees within two hours, so residents are encouraged to come early.

Should any turkeys remain, after the event ends, they will be donated to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit.
