Nickelback Stars In Video Responding To Lions Halftime Show Backlash

Why does Detroit hate Nickelback? Who knows! It doesn’t matter anyway. They’re playing the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers game on Thanksgiving whether we like it or not.

At least the band has a sense of humor.

After the recent public relations debacle and internet petition, the comedy video website, Funny or Die has put together this video starring the band.

Comedian Paul Scheer plays a record executive brainstorming ways to damage control the situation. He suggests that the band could dress up as Detroit legends including Alice Cooper, RoboCop, Tom Selleck and Dave Coulier or rename the band something more Motown friendly like “The Four Nickels.”

So far it looks like the video is a win for Nickelback. The response on Twitter has been overwhelmingly positive.  #Nickelback2Detroit

Warning, the video contains VERY strong language.
