Police: Drunk Driving Leads To Crash, Mobile Home Fire

Southfield (WWJ)- Drunk driving is suspected in an accident that involved a car crashing into a mobile home in Rochester Hills early Saturday morning.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Department says a 20-year old driver was allegedly speeding on Legault Ct. at West Legrand in the Rochester Estates mobile home park when he lost control and crashed around 5 a.m.  The Chevy Cobalt and mobile home caught fire and were completely destroyed.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 20-year old Diamond Richardson of Rochester Hills was taken to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital.  She was in critical condition with head and back injuries.

The driver told a neighbor not to call police and ran away.  He was found early Saturday afternoon at his sister's home in the same mobile home park. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries and then taken to jail pending charges.
