Autopsy Completed On Body Found In Burning Car
HIGHLAND PARK (WWJ) - The Wayne County Medical Examiner's office has completed an autopsy on a body that was found in a burned-out car in Highland Park over the weekend. The cause of death is pending -- and no positive ID has been made yet.
The victim was burned beyond recognition, but investigators think the charred vehicle is that of an 80-year-old Southfield woman. A check of her residence Saturday found nobody home -- and one neighbor remembered her leaving by herself Thursday afternoon.
The woman was a former part-time employee of Southfield City Parks and Recreation.
