Ferndale's Livio Radio Adds Grooveshark Kit For Android

FERNDALE -- The online music search engine, music streaming service and music recommendation software application Grooveshark Monday announced that its first-ever branded device is available for pre-sale with Ferndale-based Livio Radio.

The Grooveshark Kit by Livio allows users to wirelessly connect their Android phone to any car with a cigarette lighter 12-volt charger and an FM stereo along with their Grooveshark account, hands-free Bluetooth calling and USB charging.

The kit is available for presale on the Livio Web site, www.livioradio.com/grooveshark, for $99.99.

The kit was previewed at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

"This is our first Grooveshark branded device and we can't wait to help our users get our service in the car," Grooveshark CEO Sam Tarrantino said. "With the help of Livio Connect, we expect this to be the first of many other places our users can access Grooveshark in the future."

"Sam has a clear vision for getting Grooveshark into the vehicle, and I'm proud that our Detroit technology is powering the solution," said Jake Sigal, Livio Radio Founder and CEO. "We are happy that Grooveshark is the first third party application partner to Livio Connect into the car with The Grooveshark Car Kit by Livio."

Android smartphone users can download the Grooveshark app for free at http://m.grooveshark.com, and a free three-month trial of Grooveshark Anywhere is included with Kit purchase.
