Real Estate Manager Fourmidable Enters Bulk Wi-Fi Business

BINGHAM FARMS -- The real estate management company Fourmidable Monday announced the formation of a sister company, E-Crosstown, that installs bulk Wi-Fi Internet access for apartment communities, office buildings and commercial developments.

E-Crosstown offers high-speed, low-cost wireless Internet to property managers to offer as a point of distinction and amenity for their property.

E-Crosstown, currently in use in select communities in the Midwest, uses a self-configuring mesh networking system that allows buildings to come online in days. These mesh networks have proven to be very reliable and easy to manage, as well as cost efficient. E-Crosstown wireless Wi-Fi can be offered as an included amenity and can be scaled to offer premium services with higher bandwidth as individual residents desire.

"Research has shown that apartment residents rate high quality Wi-Fi service as one of the top two amenities when searching for a home," said Fourmidable president Scott Allen. "While many communities offer Wi-Fi in common areas, E-Crosstown can offer residents Wi-Fi in their apartments, as well as other areas throughout the community."

E-Crosstown also can provide Internet-based surveillance systems and remote access control systems for buildings.

"Property managers at apartment communities will see the benefits of offering free Wi-Fi to their residents," added Allen. "The perk of in-apartment Internet access will improve occupancy rates, increase resident satisfaction and provide another key marketing tool for their property."

E-Crosstown serves apartment communities, office and commercial developments by providing wireless Internet access and building management systems through a reliable and secure Wi-Fi system.

E-Crosstown procures all network management, user access and support calls, allowing property managers to focus on running their properties.

Wi-Fi through E-Crosstown can be offered as an amenity or through an easy to use billing system allowing residents to pay for the service by the hour, day, week or month.
