Warren Man Shot In Kneecap

WARREN (WWJ) - Warren police are investigating a shooting that left a 25-year-old man with a bullet wound in his knee. It happened around 8:30 Sunday night on Cadillac near Nine Mile and Van Dyke.

Police say the victim was shot during an attempted home invasion by the intruder who fired at least one shot before running away. It's believed the suspect was armed with a .40-caliber pistol.

The victim was taken to St. John Hospital and is expected to be okay. According to reports, neighbors describe the victim as a renter who recently moved into the neighborhood. The gunman fled.
