DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit is one sad city, according to a new survey. But it’s not the saddest.

That distinction goes to St Petersburg, Fla., with Detroit coming in a close second on the list of the 10 saddest cities in America, as compiled by Men’s Health.

The magazine takes into account suicide rates, the unemployment rate, the percentage of households using antidepressants and people who report having the blues most of the time.

Memphis, Tampa and Louisville round out the sad five, while Honolulu– no surprise here – is America’s happiest city.
