Police Find Man's Remains After Deer Blind Fire

THOMPSON TOWNSHIP (AP) - Police responding to a report of a fire at a deer hunting blind in Michigan's Upper Peninsula found the remains of a 69-year-old hunter.

State police say they were called to the scene of the fire Monday afternoon in Schoolcraft County's Thompson Township. Investigators say Ralph Miller of Manistique was hunting with his wife in separate deer binds.

Police say that when Miller didn't show up as expected his wife found him in the deer blind that had burned.

Police say the fire and cause of death both were under investigation.
