Thousands Remain Without Power After Storms

DETROIT (WWJ) - DTE Energy said about 18,000 of its customers were without electricity Wednesday morning. High winds and heavy rain are to blame for most of the outages.

The problem areas are scattered across Metro Detroit, but some of the bigger problem areas include Warren and Auburn Hills.

No word as to exactly when the power will be restored.

Because of the weather and the resulting power outages, several schools are closed.
