Governor Snyder's Approval Rating Slips Significantly
LANSING (WWJ) - Governor Rick Snyder's approval rating has taken another hit.
That's the finding of a new survey conducted by Michigan State University's Charles Ballard, with the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research. The statewide survey shows Snyder's approval rating has fallen below 20 percent.
"The governor's approval went down from 31 percent and changed to only 19.3 percent, so that's a pretty substantial drop," Ballard said. "That's in terms of the people who said he was either excellent or good."
Ballard says there has been a significant drop in support for the governor among Republicans. The governor had 66 percent approval from Republicans a couple quarters back. Now, Republican approval is about 32 percent.
