Giants Sign Former Lions OT Ugoh

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Giants have placed offensive tackle Stacy Andrews on injured reserve with blood clots in both lungs and signed Tony Ugoh to fill the roster spot.

Andrews was hospitalized with the embolisms on Saturday and released on Monday.

Ugoh has played in 37 NFL games with 27 starts for the Indianapolis Colts (2007-09). He was also with the Detroit Lions in 2010, though he did not see any action. Ugoh played for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League this fall.

The Giants made a couple of practice squad moves the past two days. They signed quarterback Ryan Perrilloux for the seventh time this season and terminated the contract of offensive lineman Selvish Capers Tuesday. They terminated Perrilloux and re-signed Capers Wednesday.
