ROSCOMMON (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say a 41-year-old Roscommon man has died after being trapped beneath a vehicle that he was working on.
The Bay City Times reports George L. Major had the vehicle on a jack on Wednesday when it failed.
Investigators say family members partially lifted the vehicle with the jack and were able to pull Major out before medical crews arrived.
Authorities didn’t specify where the accident took place. Roscommon is located about 55 miles southeast of Traverse City.
A funeral service was scheduled for Sunday. Major’s survivors include his wife and three children.
