Police Looking For Suspect In Robbery From Kmart Store

WOODHAVEN (WWJ) - This was no blue light special as a man steals thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from a local Kmart store.

Police tell WWJ that on November 30, a man believed to be in his mid-20s distracted an employee in the store and grabbed several gold necklaces and then ran out of the Kmart store on West Road.

A Salvation Army donation volunteer told police he saw a tall, skinny white man dash out of the store headed south through the parking lot.

According to the report, the volunteer saw the man drop something that looked metallic.

The man is described as being about 5'9" tall, with short, light-brown hair styled into a mohawk. The man has tattoos on both of his upper forearms.

He left the lot in a blue, late-model, full-sized pickup truck.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact Woodhaven police at (734) 676-7337.
