Mom Of Missing Toddler Reacts To Warrant Issued In Case
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police have requested a warrant in the case of missing 2-year-old Detroit girl Bianca Jones. But they have not revealed who or what that warrant is for.
Following news of Tuesday's police request, WWJ Newsradio 950's Stephanie Davis spoke with the missing girls' mother.
"I'm trying to leave the investigation to the professionals and not interfere with their case and just continue my search for my daughter," said Banika Jones.
"If that is some motive or action toward forwarding the search for my daughter then I am more than excited about that but if it is not producing my daughter then it's not of my concern," she said.
Jones told WWJ that she has spoken to Bianca's father D'Andre Lane about the warrant issued but does not want to discuss their conversation.
The search has been scaled down from hundreds of volunteers meeting on a regular basis to search to smaller groups of mostly family, friends and authorities.
Bianca Jones has not been seen since December 2nd, when her father D'Andre Lane claims she was taken during a carjacking.
Lane's neighbor Tanisha Jackson does not believe his story.
"He know where his daughter (is) at, that's his daughter ... either you know who took her or you know where she (is) at, or you know what happened to her," said Jackson.
Lane insists he's telling the truth and just wants to find his daughter.
There is a $25,000 dollar reward offered in the case.
