Shelby Twp. Police Ask For Tips In Armed Robbery

SHELBY TWP. (WWJ) –  Police in Shelby Township are looking for any information related to an armed robbery at an apartment complex.

Investigators said they responded to the Fox Lane Apartment Complex, in the area of West Utica and Mound Road, around 8:15 Tuesday night.

Detectives say two men claim they were outside for a smoke and walking between the buildings when the suspect approached them with a gun. The victims claim they were made to lie on the ground while the gunman robbed them.

Police say that type of robbery is rare in the area.

A witness to the crime stated that the suspect was a white male in his twenties, 5’11”, medium build, with long brown hair, wearing blue jeans, a dark hoodie and tennis shoes.
