Matt Dery: Pistons Starters; Lions Practice Report
The Pistons will be back on the floor tonight at the Palace, albeit two months late. Detroit opens the preseason against Cleveland with new faces and a new coach and the team hopes it equates to some victories. Lawrence frank has only had his guys in training camp for one week but he likes what he sees from Brandon Knight.
Frank Said after shoot around today that he will go with the lineup of Will Bynum, Ben Gordon, Damien Wilkins, Charlie Villanueva and Greg Monroe as his starters. Frank says expect a different first five Tuesday in Cleveland. Hear the game tonight at 7 on 97.1 The Ticket.
The Lions got back two defensive starters today at practice as CB Eric Wright and LB Justin Durant joined their teammates. Both are expected to play Sunday in Oakland against the Raiders. Safety Louis Delmas was back but according to the reporters on hand for the open portion of practice the safety was not moving very well. Aaron Berry and Lawrence Jackson both aren't expected to play.
