Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol Showcases Tom Cruise At His Best

HOLLYWOOD (WWJ) – Talk about excitement! There's plenty of it to go around in "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol". The fourth installment of the "Mission Impossible" film franchise gets off to a running start from the very first scene! And it doesn't stop.

Tom Cruise, starring as IMF operative Ethan Hunt, is blamed for the terrorist bombing of the Kremlin. When he and the entire IMF agency are disavowed when the President initiates "Ghost Protocol," Hunt must find a way to clear his agency's name and prevent another attack.

Hunt's mission in "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" is unlike any he's faced before. For the first time, Hunt is forced to rely on three people he hardly even knows, whereas, in the previous three M.I. movies, he's only had himself to rely on. And once the four operatives embark on their mission, they find themselves faced with seemingly insurmountable obstacles while traveling to some of the world's most stunning locales, including Los Angeles, Moscow, Prague, Dubai, Mumbai, and Vancouver.

According to Cruise, "I felt that, as a film, it could take us to different locations, have pulse-racing action sequences and smart, innovative tech. It was the first film I ever produced. As a filmmaker and as an actor, I'm always thinking about the audience. I want to entertain them and give them a new adventure every time."

And, if beautiful scenery and non-stop action are your cup of tea, this movie will be deliciously satisfying. Rated PG-13. Also starring Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Michael Nyqvist, Vladimir Mashkov, Josh Holloway, Anil Kapoor and Léa Seydoux.

Audiences have a chance to experience "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol – The IMAX Experience" at The Henry Ford IMAX Theatre. More information on that here.

Wide release in theaters everywhere is on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011.

See you at the movies!
